Who is the Immunisation Nurses Special Interest Group?

INSIG is a professional body of the Australian Nursing Midwifery Federation (ANMF Vic Branch) that was established in 2004 to support Nurses working in Immunisation Practice. INSIG aims to provide a forum that facilitates communication, discussion and encourages professional development for immunisation nurses in the State of Victoria.

INSIG is steered and administrated by Executive members voted for by the member base. They are unpaid positions and voted for during the INSIG AGM. Please contact any Executive member if you are interested in helping INSIG in any way or are interested in an Executive postiion.

INSIG runs periodic events such as the Biennual INSIG Conference and INSIG Xmas Event. These events are discounted for INSIG Members which increases the affordability of membership. They are great ways to meet other immunisation professionals and earn CPD points.

Member Area

Member content such as video recordings of immunisation presentations taken during INSIG member meetings will be available in the members section. This is a service strictly for immunisation professionals and the videos are not accessable outside of the INSIG protected area.

Join us for our 4 quarterly meetings. We try to have at least two speakers and cater with a great selection of finger food as part of INSIG Membership. This is included in the $40 per year fee and you also earn CPD points for attending. It's always great to meet members face to face.

INSIG keeps members informed by sending regular emails about news and activities relating to immunisation. We regularly post content to help promote external conferences and industry training. We strive to provide a forum to keep members actively involved and abreast of changes.

CPD & Training

Attend free member meetings for CPD points as well as events such as the INSIG Biennual Conference. INSIG additionally works with certified training providers like First Aid Management to obtain discounts for INSIG members so your membership fee goes a long way.

Membership is still just $40 per year. The term is the standard financial year from July 1st to June 30th. Becoming a member is easy. Simply click 'Join Now' and within a few minutes you will be a paid member. INSIG uses PayPal to securely accept payments and everything is instant. You can use your credit card or PayPal account but don't need to join PayPal to do so. After payment, you will receive an automated email with your membership details and can log straight in to the INSIG member area.

Our Member Base: 290 Members Today (with 280 days left in FY)

INSIG has been growing progressively and steadily. The 2021-2022 Financial Year was our best yet with our highest membership figure recorded. 425 members! That's an amazing result! We actively give back to the members incorporating requested items like recordings of Member Meetings for Country members and Metro members that cannot attend. INSIG hopes to become even more diverse and continue providing exceptional value for the modest member fee.

INSIG Member Meetings are held at ANMF House.

Member Meetings are strictly 'member only' and include finger food (sandwiches, cookies, snacks) and usually two speakers.
They are completely FREE for INSIG members and are run every quarter.

INSIG Executive Committee 2021 - 2023

The 2021-2023 Executive have now been elected after the 2021 Biennial INSIG Conference. INSIG Executive perform a wide variety of tasks with roles like President and Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Membership and Public Relations. Executive positions are voted for at the Annual AGM. Any interested parties are encouraged to contact the current INSIG Executive for futher information.
